The City of St. Clair offers a variety of outdoor fitness options for our residents and visitors. And so many of them are free! 

​

  • Pine Shores Golf Course  - Visit this beautiful, executive 9-hole course in the City of St. Clair.

  • Rattle Run Golf Course - Take a detour out of town to Rattle Run, featuring tall pines, challenging slopes and wonderful variety of landscapes.

  • Basketball Courts at Greig Park - Grab a pickup game at our local courts.

  • Hockey Rink at Greig Park - Calling all inline skaters - come out for a game at this local park!

  • Skate/Bike Park Located next to Greig Park, enjoy the all-terrain dirt track, 120x80 skate pad, modular skate components, and more. 

  • Tennis Courts at St. Clair High School - Featuring eight new courts that are open to the public

  • Community Pool on Eighth & Orchard - Get a day pass, season pass, or take swim lessons at our warm and clean community pool.

  • Tai Chi and other Outdoor Fitness Classes - St. Clair Parks and Recreation offers classes year-round.

Freighter Viewing

Freighter Watching

Seeing a Great Lakes freighter up close is an awesome experience. The Freighter watching from Palmer Park and one of the world's longest freshwater boardwalks is a sight second to none. Pack a picnic and spend the day hoping to catch one of the famed 1000-footers!

Harbour
St. Clair Boat Harbor

One of Michigan's top recognized recreational harbors - the St. Clair Boat Harbor is a 132-slip harbor located on the beautiful St. Clair River. They welcome transient boaters as well as season-long visitors, and also feature a 9-site campground perfect for groups who want to camp near water. Need a life jacket? They've got you covered with the Life Jacket Loaner Program.

Biking, Hiking, and Walking

  • Bridge to Bay Trail: Bike it, hike, it or stroll it - whatever way you choose, you'll see parks, waterways, plenty of greenery, beaches, and lighthouses.

  • Palmer Park Boardwalk: Perfect for an early evening stroll, picnics, and freighter watching.

  • Greig Park Nature Trail - This 1.5-mile nature trail is a great stop for families after playing at the Imagination Station. 

  • Plains Nature Trail - A pleasant 2.5 mile walk along the Pine River, with a picnic rest area at Turtle Beach.

  • Alice W. Moore Nature Sanctuary - One of the few Michigan Nature Association sanctuaries located within a city.

Parks

St. Clair parks are perfect for a picnic, playtime with the family, strolling, and viewing various art sculptures. ​

 The Imagination Station Playground Rebuild is located at Greig Park. This five-day community volunteer playground was built from September 5-15, 2019, and features a 70ft zip-line, mural wall climb, treehouses and an inclusive ability whirl.
