Labor Day is quickly coming and summer is ending too soon. Don’t let the summer end without going to the River Crab Restaurant’s Deck Party. The Crab’s most popular band, The Rivertown Gents - a five piece band, will be playing Wednesday. There is no cover charge, but reservations are recommended (810-329-2261).

The center piece of downtown St. Clair is Palmer Park; the community’s defining public space. With the longest fresh water boardwalk in the world, it is one of the great spots on the St. Lawrence Seaway to watch Great Lake boat traffic. Palmer Park is anchored by the historic St. Clair Inn to the north, The Voyageur Restaurant and the Pine River to the south. Both are great places to have a meal and enjoy the tranquility of the St. Clair River as it floats your troubles away.

Across from Palmer Park is the Riverview Plaza, a unique collection of independent businesses and shops. Within walking distance of Palmer Park and the Riverview Plaza is the St. Clair Marina, Pine Shores Golf Course and romantic Rotary Park.

But there is more to St. Clair: the Red Geranium and GEM Tearoom, "Restaurant Row" on Clinton Ave., Hayes of St. Clair, Angler Rod and Sports, Simply Marcela, SC Bicycles and the glass freighter - Coughlin Jewelers. Art shows, bands, and movies on the boardwalk; concerts in the courtyard; boat shows; fishing contests; offshore boat races; historical reenactments; fire works over the St. Clair River; ice cream; nature walks and a hidden surprise or two for you to uncover.

Discover what St. Clair on the river has to offer - plan your getaway from the everyday!
